West 20 – West 30 – (PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PDF) This magical little spot is very near were the students park. Many of our friends already tailgate there (or very near there) and this spot has some great advantages:
It has a large sidewalk area (with Trees for extra shade) that will provide a lot more tailgate room than if we parked in your standard spot. Also, if I remember correctly, the Bus lot is relatively empty with plenty of room for further expansion if needed (cornhole area).
We already have a lot friends in the area.
Plenty of easily accessible port-a-pottys
Close proximity to the students (in case you feel a need for a quick funnel…)

Gotta say this. I support all Canes, especially in the NFL. I don’t care if they were with the team during the mediocre/average years or not. They’re canes. That’s it for me. I support even the so-called “dancing” ones (not my terminology).
The better they do in the NFL, whether they were stars in college or not, the better it is for the U overall. Big picture, people, big picture.

Here’s a couple more snippets on Shields. Unfortunately, Time Warner cable does not yet carry ESPN3, so I’ll be watching Shields’ last effort to make the team tonight instead of watching the Canes play a real game.

Shields has moved up the depth chart because of his play but is still fighting for a spot.
“Every day I dream about it,” Shields said. “Just go out there and make some plays, especially on special teams. That’s the only way you can make this roster, on special teams.””

Hopefully he picks the Canes. It would stink if he turns out to be another Patchan… although… at this point I’m kinda glad that kid went to the Gates because it seems like he’s spent most of his time on the sidelines with injuries. I really haven’t been following recruiting as much as I used to… I’m saving my enthusiasm for when they actually sign their LOIs.
